I love when I have customers who hire me because they are making an intelligent decision and really want a quality show. If you are not concerned about quality and you don't care about the details, honestly you should go with the cheaper magician, there are plenty of them. Otherwise, please take a few minutes to read these questions and answers.
How far in advance should I book you? I am fortunate enough to be a very busy and popular entertainer. Please contact me first before arranging your party date/time and booking your venue, as you may need to be flexible to secure my services. Most shows are booked 1-2 months in advance, however; last minute bookings may be available. Click here to reserve your date.
How long should the party be? Typical parties are 2-2.5 hours for children ages 4-7 and 2.5 – 3 hours for children ages 8+. My performance can range from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the amount of children and their ages.
Is the show clean and age appropriate? Yes! I take pride that each of my shows are specifically geared towards your core group of children. That being said, I do like to model my show like a good Disney movie, there's something there for everyone - parents included!
When should we serve the food and cake? Nothing can compete with food! The best time to serve food and cake, is after the magic show. If food and cake is served before the magic show, it can make it more difficult for kids to stay focused on the magic show.
My child doesn’t like loud noises, will your show be appropriate? Probably not. My show is very high energy and their are lots of moments where the children are screaming, laughing loud and clapping. I also use music through out my show. If your child doesn’t like loud noises, then I would recommend another magician who isn’t as exciting or perhaps another types of entertainment. I would be more than happy to recommend you other entertainment options.
I don’t know how many guests will show up. When do you need to know that by? When you fill out the booking form, I just ask you the approximate number of guests. I understand that the guest list can change up until a few days before the party. That’s why I always call two days before the party to confirm the details and get the final guest count. If you booked the ′Gold’ package, I will also bring plenty of balloons, just in case a few extra siblings show up.
Do you require a deposit? Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking. After you submit your booking request, I’ll check my calendar to make sure that your requested date and time is available. If it is, then I’ll email you a confirmation with the link to pay your deposit securely online. You can pay the deposit with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, check or good old fashioned cash. If you need to cancel the party for any reason, you can re-schedule your show within 365 days and the deposit can be applied to the new booking without any penalty.
How do I know you’re going to show up? My online booking system is safe, secure, super easy to use and nothing will get lost. My reputation depends on it! I know how special a birthday party is and how important it is for me to help make it extra special. I want you to feel completely comfortable with hiring me, so my booking process is easy and keeps you in contact with me the entire time. After your deposit is received, you receive an e-confirmation with all of your party details. I’ll send you an email reminder and will always call two days before the party to confirm one last time. I’m also always available anytime, for you to ask any questions. You won’t just book me and hope that I’m going to show up.
How much space do you need? Not much at all. My banner is about 7 feet high and 3 feet wide. I like to have a 2-3 feet (backstage area) and about 3-4 feet in front of me (performing area). Usually, your living room is a perfect place for this. Other than that, an area right in front of my performing area for the children to sit and enjoy the show is all that is needed. I have never been in a place, I couldn’t perform due to space constraints. I’m very flexible and easy to work with.
Do you need a table? Nope, I'm a one man show and come with everything I need to provide you with the easiest, greatest and most stress-free party ever!
What time should we start the magic show? A good general rule is to have my show begin about a 30-45 minutes after the party is to begin. This prevents distractions from late arriving guests. Depending on which package you go with, my entertainment lasts anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes.
How old should the kids be? Most of the kids should be at least 4 years old. Children younger than 4 don’t have the attention span and don’t understand all the magic completely yet. You can have a friend jingle keys in front of them and it will probably have the same outcome. Children that are 9 years or older, just want to try to figure out the tricks. This is why I have different shows depending on the age of your guests.
My child is shy. Will they be overwhelmed? I specialize in performing for children and family audiences. All of the magic in my show is age appropriate and there is nothing scary or dangerous. Absolutely no fire. I understand that all children are different and I am quick to gain the children’s trust. Most parents are surprised that their ‘shy’ child got up on stage. If your child is shy, no problem, I can change my show up a bit to make him/her feel more comfortable.
